Please describe in 500 to 1,000 words the following:
  1. What does a college education mean to you and your family?
  2. Please describe any hardships or challenges you have overcome to continue your education.
  3. Who has inspired you to get a college education and why?

Selection Process
Finalists will be determined based on the applicant's essay, grades and application materials.

Finalists will then complete an in-person interview which shall determine the scholarship recipients.
The Sinegal Family Foundation Scholarship at Heritage University is a representation of the Sinegal Family Foundation's desire to help underserved students pursue higher education. The scholarship will be awarded to incoming and/or freshman-status students with less than 29 college credits who are committed to pursuing their education and plan on attending Heritage University for the next four years. 

Scholarship recipients are expected to remain in good academic standing as well as participate in program activities. Such activities include but not limited to:
  • Mentor incoming recipients
  • Participate in award ceremony
  • Share educational experience with scholarship committee
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75
